I am a avid reader. I really enjoy si-fi and fantasy. Whilst I was away from home(England). I was the other side of the world on a ship. I found a book called "The Book of Shadows". The first book of the "Wicca" series. Little did my Wife know that the following books in the series would take over my life. The books are so well written that you become a part of that book, a part of that series, you can't stop. On my return to England, the staff in my local bookshop ran for cover when I went in. The reason for this is that they had to send to the States for the later books as they, first, had changed the name from "Wicca" to "Sweep" and some of the books were not available in the UK. BUT, my bookshop has them now and I am told that they are outselling the "Twilight" series which I am very pleased about. The whole series EXCELLENT and I take my hat off to Cate. However, can someone please let me know if there is any chance that it could be made into film or TV series. Oh, I'm a 61 year old ex- Soldier.

I really loved this book it was a fasinating tale of a girl true love and discovering her true talents. I really liked how the author expressed Morgan and I just finishd The Coven and am thrilld to read Blood Witch!

Can some one comment on how that book is so I now whether or not to read it??

Any way the book is about a girl Morgan who lives a very average life. She has a best friend named Bree. Her life is turned in a totally different direction when the new boy Cal comes to their small town. She now that she loves him and thinks he is adorable and well love at firt Whitch. Though she must restrain herself because Bree falls for him to. Knowing that she does not stand a chance against the beautiful Bree. She goes to a party with a group from school and finds out the secret that the perfect Cal has he claims he is a witch. Later on Morgan herself finds out that she to is a very powerful witch and I really adopted!

I hope you love this book and series as much as I did !!!!!!!

These book are the best I've ever read. They're not only supernatural but natural also. Cate Tiernan really captures the essence of teenaged life eith a twist, wicca, but the main story line consist of love, family, friends and enemies, just like an every day teens life.
Even if you're not into the whole wicca thing you'll find something to enjoy in these books, everyone should give them a try!!!

!!!! Its romantic, touching, and capturing, absolutely wonderful reading!!!! Morgan deals with what she has to and is still able to have a decent family life! shes almost died several times, finds love twice marrys another, to find only that her mu`irn beatha da`n is alive!!!!

A series about a girl who was brought up with catholic 'parents' who finds out that she is a blood witch.
A fantastic series with a lot of twists an turns. Truley remarkable. If you pick the first book of the series up you will not be able to put the book down and will want to carry on reading the series without stopping. I couldn't put any of the books down and would read them with every chance i got whether at school or home. Every penny that you use to buy the books are definatly worth it.
Even my mum couldnt stop readin them.
Cate Tiernan truley did research into wicca. These books are non-fiction and fiction.
A brilliant collection of books by a brilliant author.
