Back to story

Submitted by Thomas Wardly (Jul 12, 2010)

As a fan of fantasy, I find that the long historical referenced openings such as the one described here can be tedious. However, the author handles this one in such a way that the details are relevant and important to what follows. I thought all of the character in particular Deth Addar and Scar were iconic and extremely well voiced. It's not often that you find a likable anti-hero with so many critical flaws. The use of both vivid fight scenes and subtle humor makes the read very enjoyable. I would love to see the remainder of the story.
