I remember once reading your Rose|Thorn and enjoying it, and I remember my eagerness for a second chapter and more depth--though it had it in plenty. And now, picking this one completely by luck from the home page, then enjoying its taste, then looking at the author name, then realising it's you, that felt good indeed! Good short story, I rated it five, but there's one thing I don't like. Why is there no second chapter to Rose|Thorn yet? I'd love to see how things develop...
