I have read fantasy all my life, but have only recently delved into the world of David Gemmell books. I couldn't believe how I never had them in my collection; they are among the best Iv'e ever read. The man was extremely talented at telling epic tales full of emotion and meaning, so much so that you can't help being introspective after reading them. His death took away from the world a very rare gift and good man.Only a person of profound depth of thinking can put so much meaning into a story. A new and ardent fan.

David Gemmel was (and still IS) my greatest idol. His books, their main characters, their personalities - the world would definitely be a better place to be, if we were living according such spirit values...
