i thought the book was inspiring, i read this novel to my pregnant wife and she couldnt remebmer anything i read her. i guess its a goood book for guys. we watched the movie version which was better. that night i made love to my wife thinking of aurora

So some "writer" ex-"punk" hack takes several sessions of playing Cyberpunk or Shadowrun and writes a book. I thought copyright infringement was looked down upon in writing circles.

"Smoked meat" is a pastrami-like delicacy particular to the city of Montreal. It is eaten in a high-piled sandwich, flanked by rye bread (no carraway). The French-Canadian term for a smoked meat sandwich is un smoked meat. Hence the italics, I think.

I agree with the poor translation by Noura Wedell. She is obviously not a native French and her style lacks a full understanding of the language.
