I agree, it's still going strong. The Collector reminds me of Robin Williams' character in the "Fisher King".

By the second chapter, your story has reached a brisk and engaging stride. There is enough mystery to intrigue the reader, and enough tension to keep the story sharp. We, as readers, still lack a description of the main characters' physical appearance, but I didn't notice any clear opportunities to insert such description without disrupting the tight flow of your text. Anxious to see what unfolds.
