This is a great story. It has nothing to do with science fiction. Just with not understanding how someone you are so in love with chooses a person that you consider "less". It happens all the time. Smooth talkers win. It has nothing to do with how good a man looks, or how intelligent he is. And, god forbid, that (in the US) he is a jock. Nuff said.
