I guess I had the exact opposite reaction. I ADORE this book. I've read it twice and recently got the audio book of it. I was surprised at how much wit and humor were in the book. I appreciate your review though. Different strokes for different folks and all that rot. Cheers!

Good review. This sums up my feelings about Soulless, too. Ultimately, I expected to like it more than I did in the end. It could have been much better than it was.
