This story seems really interesting and unique. When I finish reading the Malazan Epic, I'll give this one a go. Nice review, really makes the story shine and makes me want to read the book.

A very good review, my respect. Iam dutch ( from the Netherlands, Amsterdam) buti almost read everything in english. This one was a handfull because there is so much going on!. I found it original but it never threw me off my feet. For me it does not have to be original but if it is not it has to be very good to be a good read. A recommandation is Elves from Bernhard Hennen (German writer). But back to this one i strongly agree with you. Next week i will be reading part two City of Ruin and will let you know the outcome!
