I disagree with you that the Xbox 360 has lost out a lot more than the original Xbox. Poor sales and lack of input support (many not really taking a step futher than what it can currently do since the HD TV ain't main stream in Europe yet) from major developers has cost the Xbox 360 major points in this battle.
