i see you in the shadows,
everywhere i go,
i catch the reflection in your eyes,
then i start to slow,
i call out "who are you?",
but you don't answer back,
so i just keep on walking,
but someone hits me...smack!
I drift lifelessly in and out of this frightening reverie,
i hope that i don't die tonight,
or that someone remembers me,
so they can come and get me,
i try to scream,
but all's i can say is "who are you? who are you? wh-"
gone,
it was all a dream.
