Pain by Jo Celine

Pain

I was in the kitchen doing dishes,
order being done, mind receptive, listening to tunes.
I heard a song about Pain,
that it was better than nothing at all
and I thought of you;
your piercings and insertions, your tattoos,
your hanging by the flesh.

Is Pain better than nothing at all?
Does it make you feel alive?
Do you like inflicting Pain?
Did they cut you so deeply
you needed to give it back?

You know what hurts and you do it well.
New piercing here – Pain.
To see the look.
Colour each tattoo – Pain.
To see the look.

Have they had enough?
Have you had enough?
Are you happy?
Are you in
Pain?

or the bilingual version:

Pain-douleur

I was in the kitchen doing dishes,
order being done, mind receptive, listening to tunes.
Heureuse dans mon petit monde.
I heard a song about Pain,
that it was better than nothing at all
and I thought of you; tes preuves et racontages
your piercings and insertions, your tattoos,
your hanging by the flesh.

Is Pain better than nothing at all?
Cette sensation etant mieux
qu'aucune?
Does it make you feel alive?
Ressentir la douleur, le deversement, la chaleur.
Do you like inflicting Pain?
Did they cut you so deeply
en negligence et favoritisme
you needed to give it back?

You know what hurts and you do it well.
New piercing here – Pain.
To see the look
la repugnance.
Colour each tattoo – Pain.
To see that look
leur decouragement.

Have they had enough?
Est-ce qu'il t'encourage?
Have you had enough?
As-tu ce que tu veux?
Are you happy?
Are you in
Pain?

Tell me what you think?

Does it make you uncomfortable
make you think?

So far my rating is low.
Why?
