Poem

Devil's Misery by Natalie Norment

Here I am, a young girl
Caught up in this demented world
Though I'm alone, I am still here
Neverending hurt and pain
Yet it's always been the same
Trying to so hard only to fall

It's like the Devil's Misery
Always surrounding me
I can hear it calling out (to me)

Just like a sad symphony
It never goes away
I can still hear it now

It's not easy being me
Living in the Devil's Misery

Here I am once again
Trapped in a world deep of sin
Yet I struggle trying to live
In my heart, I am lost
Stuck in a loop of internal harm
Is there no end to this pain?

It's like the Devil's Misery
Always surrounding me
I even hear it calling out (to me)

A very sad symphony
That keeps playing endlessly
I still can hear it now

It's not easy being me
Living in the Devil's Misery

Like a sad love song
It keeps playing all night long
And it won't leave my ears in peace
Here I am all alone
Yet somehow I'm moving on
And if I fall, I would still rise

It's like the Devil's Misery
Always surrounding me
I can hear it calling out (to me)

Just like a sad symphony
It never goes away
I can still hear it now

It's like the Devil's Misery
Always surrounding me
I even hear it calling out (to me)

A very sad symphony
That keeps playing endlessly
I still can hear it now

It's not easy being me
Living in the Devil's Misery

It's never easy being me
Living in the Devil's Misery

Living in the Devil's Misery....
