on the page

everything operates smoothly

but the second
(that smoke pouring, agonizing second)

motorspantingpuffing
sparksstreaming
from
two ends
of a wire
that should be
con
nect
ed

oh shit
the world is ending!
shout my misfiring synapses

and then

my mouth opens
with no sign
of the dramatic struggle

but what comes out
i'll tell you

sure
ain't
pretty
