the black night falls quickly
the darkness like hands over her eyes
the freezing cold
snarling and clawing
biting at every tiny piece of exposed skin
the wind wails around her
replicating her inner torment
she stops, holding her arms tight around her
desperatly trying to preserve some small bit of warmth
a dim light, hidden by the curtains
softly illuminates as it reflects on the ice
she hears the soft murmur of the television
and laughter,happiness ignorant of the world beyond their little bubble
she should have had that
but it was never her's
thats why shes here
