Memories shatter and like dust scatter.
What was can be remembered.
What was can linger in memories.
But memories never last.

As a hero´s deed is born in the midst of battle,
the event is remembered, glorified and held dear as life.
Yet as the years pass, and as the years must do,
the memories fade and crumble to a forgotten dust.

What was must lie in the past.
What was can never remain,
not even in memories.
Cause memories shatter as time goes by,
and the people who remember begin to die.
