Fear by Keith Kitchen

Fresh ejaculate dripping from his penis,
The young man stares blindly
at the mushroom cloud growing to the West
while the recently deflowered virgin behind him screams
as her skin,
which was so recently enveloped in ecstasy,
begins to burn uncontrollably.
Children scream and run to their mothers
as their homes burst into flame and rudely blow away
while their fathers defend their country
from the enemies their uncaring masters have made.
Hundreds of miles away, deep underground,
the rulers nod grimly
as the numbers of casualties
appear on sterile computer screens.
Then, smiling, they clap each other on their backs
and cheer their victory
as their cities burn to ashes above.
