Poem

Nuemäsien by Ryan Robledo

~NUEMÄSIEN~
Movement of Time

-excerpt from the novel ÆLNÄTHÄN--

Please understand that this poem is set in another universe. I am a Christian, and do not seek to supplant the true Creator. This is just fiction. To fully appreciate this poem, please read the description of the terms below.

Näquäsone--creator of the imaginary universe of the ÆLNÄTHÄN

Uednuer--powerful spirit in rebellion against Näquäsone

Uemievärs--imaginary universe of the ÆLNÄTHÄN

Färæln--place of beauty and rest, 'heaven' of Uemievärs

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Näquäsone took void,
And made it life;
He filled it with joy,
And light within.
But one rose up against him,
And fed off pride,
And took many to sin.
So came the darkness
Of all life, and all the
Sorrow, the pain and strife,
That mars what once was good
And fair and right.
Ages passed on,
Evil grew more strong,
And Uednuer thought upon
How he could do more wrong.
Evil came to us and
Offered might, power,
If we should take a stand;
Turn away from the maker's hand――
And we did.
We shunned light for
The lies of Uednuer.
We fell from the beauty
The peace, and the ageless
Innocence of the land, down we
Fell into deepening
Sorrow, and
Dark time, and
Conflict,
Undying.
The time continues to
Move on with the same events.
Battle and peace and
Conquests and lost life.
Days pass,
Ever swift and fast, and what's
Good seems not
Set to last. Ev'ry
Morning comes, in the
Bright of sun; ev'ry
Night brings the dark or moon. So
Peace shall last, then shall
Swiftly pass, and the
Righteous still fall fast. Dark
Evil, bright
Purity, they
Fight into
Eternity.
Great wars and
Bloodshed,
They stain the
Live and dead.
Who now walks
In life, and
Knows nothing
Of pain? Not
One. Now all is
Marred by sin and
Suffering, and we
Wait upon the
Maker, for the
Promised one
To come. Free us
From the sin that
Twists and mars Uemievärs. Show us
Entrance to the
Färæln, where
All hurts are
Healed, and
Gone. But even
Then, until the
Last war, we shall know
Pain, until
Sin's gone. O
May the ones who've died
Be remember'd by us,
Their memory prided,
And thought of with love.
We know their souls have not died,
Yet they're not here,
Their loved ones cry.
But we shall see them
At the end, all of our
Family, and all we loved,
If they have stayed true
Through life and death
To Näquäsone. Then we shall
Look back at our
Dark past, free from
Sin's cruel coldest
Grasp at last.
Tears come, then are
Soon gone, as we
Look on at the
Bright beauty of
Färæln. No more
Heartache; no more
Cruelty; no more
Crying nor
Death. For then we
Shall stand, shining
In the light
Of Näquäsone's
Love, always
There, but now
Revealed, like
A burning white
Flame that burns
Away all the
Anguish of
Our former
Lives, and we shall
Regain the
Innocence of
The very
First days.
