Poem    Like A Rose by Brenda Pernack (5 ratings) Rate this Poem (5 best) 1 2 3 4 5   Like a rose Encased in glass I am untouchable Yet so vulnerable I cry out of one eye And shine in the other I'm so conflicted So restricted When you gaze inside me I am exposed When you try to touch me I am enlightened The moon is my shepherd The stars my hope I'm so scared The sun is my vengeance The clouds my sorrow I'm so hurt Touch me and hold The pieces of my shattered heart Cradle my love Don't rip me apart I am a rose Petal of tears Please, break my glass Hold me, despite my fears.
