Blade Of Shadow by Jesus Died For You! Jesus Loves You!

In the shadows, in the darkness,
The bloody blade came to life
By hate and envy it was caressed
Cursed with wicked power and might
Its only motive to cause strife

In the shadows, in the darkness
The hateful sword sought to reign
It had a bloodlust it could not suppress
Many brave warriors would be slain

From the shadows, from the darkness
The powerful blade emerged
Corrupting the beauty around it in unrepentant transgress
Emanating evil, destruction it encouraged.

From the shadows, from the depths
The gleaming blade found its chosen warrior
Sapping the pureness from his every breath
Eating away his life and becoming the superior

Out of the shadows, out of the darkness
The corrupted sword and its counterpart
Seduced the villages with disguised finesse,
Swaying rulers by the false wisdom they had to impart

Out of the shadows, out of the depths
The blade crumbled strong towers
The bell tolled ominously, death, death, death
The plagued land turned darker with the passing hours

From the shadows, from the darkness
The sword came, made with hatred and malice
It corrupted all who held it with a blackened caress
And brought to the ground the greatest palace

From the shadows, from the blackness
The bell tolled, blood, darkness, death
The blinded people still saw the blade with impress
And the ground was brimming underneath

From the light, from the brightness
A lone Hero arose to challenge the deception
The people saw the affliction and cried out in confess
The Hero met a stricken people with blurred perception

From the shadows, from the darkness
The blade screamed out in fury and dare
The people looked from dark blade to bright hero in a confused distress
The Hero accepted the challenge and breathed the air

From the shadows, from the depths
Of hate it was born, and the blade broke in defeat
The Hero banished the sword with a single of His breaths
The people saw the blade’s deception and its cheat

From the Light, from the brightness
Came the Hero, banishing iniquity and restoring peace
Offering the people the beautiful gift of forgiveness
Their ecstatic rejoicing knew no cease

The Bell pealed with joy, the land was purged
Castles were rebuilt, and people rejoiced
Where the dead were buried, flowers emerged
Love, laughter, and redemption the people voiced

The Hero walked among the people once again
Radiating love and hope, he reassured them
Harmony and peace were real, not a feign
He came to us, so that we would no longer be condemned
