Requiem For A Moment by Keiron Tonge

I never did forget you,
And I wonít leave you behind.
I kept a place aside for you,
In the corner of my mind.

I think on that day it was raining,
Or at least it was overcast.
I could never trust the time,
To be anything but fast.

I never got a picture,
Of you and I upon my phone.
It was but a fleeting moment,
And then you left me alone.

Yet at times I still remember,
I find moments once forgot.
Somewhere I think that things went wrong,
And then we both had lost the plot.

Iím still scarred by the moment,
When I missed my second chance.
Then I only see in hindsight.
If only it was at first glance.
