Beyond Twilight by Mia TruHeart

BEYOND TWILIGHT

Nebulas cluster upon blue-blackened velvet
Glowing orbs float by

Planatary spheres follow their paths
Never asking why

AND THERE SHE STANDS

Jagged comets fizzle out against a far horizon
Impossible to find

Jaspered galaxies there to pluck
Imprinted on the mind

AND THERE SHE STANDS

Constellations teetering on the periphery
Of deep and blackened holes

Rainbow rings of gaseous sulpher
Tiny moons juxtaposed

AND THERE SHE STANDS

Starlight, starbright, first star I see tonight
Captured by my sight

Starlight, starbright, I wish I may, I wish I might
Wish upon a star tonight

AND THERE SHE STANDS
LOOKING FOR THE DAWN
