I Remember by Tia Voth

November mornings, with the cold wind blowing.
I breath my cool breathe, and find simple happiness.
With the colours changing and the falling leaves,
I remember, I remember.

It was only last year that we laid in your barn,
With hay all around us, and the harvest moon above.
You protected me from the crisp autumn air.
I remember, I remember.

We threw pumpkin seeds at one another,
Saw who could make the scariest jack-o-lantern.
We held hands as we got lost in a maize.
I remember, I remember.

The seasons changed, and you went away.
Moved to another city, went to university.
you'll be home soon, once the last leaf falls.
We'll make new memories to remember, remember.
