In passions wake
Potent dawn
We wait like birds
Remembering the madness of wings
As we flew in the night

Remembering senses song
We wait like birds
To unfurl and sing again

We softly sleep
With half closed eyes
Shivering close and fickle
Sharing salient memory

In dawn's wick
Fettered broken feathers
Lament celebrations siege

crowning sun, a spell
Drenching our horizon
To scourge our voices

We find we live again

And our song
thoughts again of flight
Away from this twilight
