Within your seduction by Terry Cummings

You confront me
With irresistible truth
Within your seduction

And it has weighted page
pinning me into submission
heavy is your ruthless seduction

A lost, beached fish
Flesh flapping, I gasp at air
Beneath your seduction

a knife, a rout, a thrust
Wounding, piercing thrust
That is your seduction

And fragrance stoked
Intoxicating, illuminating
Enflamed your seduction

A vase, full and shy
Held, waiting to spill
That is your seduction

Motion and pierced reprieve
Shadow against light
Stirred, your seduction

And we have fear
As our wounds widen
We bleed into one
injured and ruined
Within your seduction
