I long to be a wave
so brutal and strong,
travelling with the wind
where there is no wrong.

I long to be an eagle
so alone and free,
soaring far and away
where no one bothers me.

I long to be a panther
so sleek and fast,
running for myself
where I choose.

I long to be many things
so I can get away,
but on this stage I stand
at the end of the play.
