Abyss by Owen Jones

Dancing on the knife's edge
I howl at the night,
Here where the moon is full
I see tomorrow from afar.

It is a warning sign of despair
Because I cannot save today,
Must watch hopelessly
the dying of the night.

There is no easy way to watch
No hope left to equivocate,
I dream uneasy dreams
As my nights drift away.

Of course I chase
but am I fast enough,
My feet are cut by the blade
The artists true pain.

The inescapable is near
but not tonight I smile,
I am invincible still
For at least another mile
