This is for the people
who are afraid to go home at night.
Because of all the fighting, yelling
and violence that's just not right

This is for the little boy
who's always on his own
Teased and bullied, ridiculed,
will he forever be alone?

This is for the children
who are constantly in fear.
Who live, fighting for themselves
because no one else is here.

This is for the girl
who's afraid to share her love
Because he took her innocence
now she can't even find help above

This is for the family
who'll spend christmas this year
huddled up in some dark alley
while the younger shed a tear

This is for the quiet wife
who sits, and waits and prays
and takes the abuse silently
throughout all her long days

This is for the people
who are all fine and well
who help the less fortunate
and help pick up those who have fell

This is for the little boy
who risked his own
to help someone else
that seemed to be all alone

This is for the children
who help out every year
by giving away their old toys
and in turn helping spread christmas cheer

This is for the girl
who helps to heal another
and consoling a young boy
who had just lost his mother

This is for the family
who gave away their vacation fund
to give another family a home
because they hade none.

This is for the quiet wife
who spends all of her time
sewing clothes and knitting scarves for those
who have none, and in return for her work
not even a dime.

This is for all the people
young and old, rich and poor
who lend out a helping hand
by giving more and more
