Grand Gestures by Tiffany Little
(5 ratings)
| I tried to show how much I love you,
But my arms wouldn’t stretch enough,
But they might stretch the whole world over,
And still not measure up.
I tried to show how much I love you,
But there isn’t enough money to buy,
Something as big, and as bold, and as beautiful,
That it could capture all I feel inside.
I tried to show how much I love you,
But there is no deed so grand,
That I could do it everyday,
And make you understand.
I tried to show how much I love you,
With gestures big, fantastic deeds, and money in massive amount.
All the while I did not see, it’s the little things that count.
I try to show how much I love you,
And my arms can stretch to reach right,
Around you when you need a hug,
All I do is squeeze real tight.
I try to show how much I love you,
And there’s just enough money to buy,
A special treat, just now and then,
To get your spirits up again.
I try to show how much I love you,
Any there are deeds enough,
Bits and pieces round the house,
That will make your job less tough.
I need no grand gestures, to show you that I care, You know that when you need me, ill be right there .
