Her wings unfurl beneath the sun.
red on white,
the blood does come.
Drying lips mouth words unsung.
Task began,
but now undone.
Here and there the beggars run,
fleeing from
what has become
The kingdom of an unloved son,
while she slept,
the deed was done.
