Escaping by Barb Montanye Kleeman

As the sun's light comes through my window,
I lay listening to the birds chirping.
Sleep has once again escaped me and my body is weary.
My mind will not give up and allow the solitude which
I need to renew my energy.
Tossing and turning I search for a way to close out all that is around me.
Suddenly darkness envelopes me and I drift off to sleep if only for a brief time.
