Not Everything Is Always What It Seem by Blossom Mack

WHEN I SAW YOU I COULD ALWAYS SEE A GLOW
YOU APPEARED UNIQUE, CARING AND NEVER SHALLOW
I COULD NEVER SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT YOU
NOW, MY THOUGHTS ARE SCRAMBLED WITHOUT DIRECTION OR A CLUE
I OPENED MY MIND AND HEART TO YOU, WITH UNBOUNDED TRUST
YOU LOVED ME, YOU WANTED ME, I MEAN YOU PROMISED
SO I GAVE YOU MY FAITH COMPLETELY
I NEVER REALLY THOUGHT YOU WOULD HURT ME
BUT YOU HAVE SHOWED ME A WHOLE NEW SIDE
FUNNY THE SAME SIDE I THOUGHT MADE YOU HIDE
NEVERTHELESS, THE WEEKS GROW WITHOUT A CALL
EVENTUALLY, I BEGIN TO REALLY SEE AND UNDERSTAND IT ALL
YOUR SOFT WORDS ONCE SPOKEN ARE NOW A WHISPER
AND YOUR HEART RETURNS NO ANSWER
YOU HAVE DISAPPEARED WITHOUT A TRACE
AND I CAN'T RECALL THE LAST TIME I SAW YOUR FACE
THE LAST TIME I LOOKED INTO YOUR BEAUTIFUL GRAY EYES
OR WHEN YOUR TRUTHS BEGAN TO TURN TO LIES
I GUESS NOT EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS WHAT IS SEEM
NOT REALITY, NOR A FANTASY BUT MERELY A DREAM
