Minds Eye by Seanah Hughes

I lay here in this soft bed
I hear a bep bep bep in the distance
has i lay here in the dark
I hear people around me
crying, talking, just moving, living
but yet I don't wake from this sleep
I dream on will life slips by.

I start to hear a voice,
a whisper in in my mind
I can't hear what it speaks
but yet it speaks
I start to see a person
but I can't see it
but yet it's there
I start to smell something
but yet I can't smell it.

the smell, person, voice start to get stronger
but yet i still can't hear, smell, see it
the smell, person, voice gets stronger and stronger
till I can see, smell, hear.

I start to live
the voice say's "live my child live"
the person is of me in the future
the smell is of wild flowers
my mother picked for me

I think my mind is playing tricks on me!
