Disquietude Procured Through Melody by Carolyn Northerland

Harmonies induce the tears
That need to fall
To stop the fears'
Continued call.

All the anguish suffered here
Remained at peace
Until the lyre's
Silence ceased.

It saw the sad tear stained face,
But kept playing,
Just to erase
What hope would sing.

Hope's voice has no place beside
Words of grief
That's lost inside.
Let it be brief.

Shorten the deaths of the souls
Who cry and hear
The happy tones
Of wanted fears.
