Livingston," Frank stated as they backed out of the door and started jogging around the block to John's house.
John had been sitting on his front porch for at least thirty minutes, and it was really getting cold. Not so much a chilling cold but a damp cold. He could feel the cold seep into the cracks in his hands and though the hair follicles. He tried to keep his eyes squinted because he kept thinking that the cold would freeze the mucus membrane that covered them.
"It's about time you guys got here," John sounded happy. "But I don't care. Let's get to work boys; I want to finish this by the end of this week."
"We were talking to Mr. Livingston; man does he have strange ideas," Frank was glad to be here at John's rather that there.
As they went down to the basement they talked about the things they could do it they could get the mathamys to work by the end of the week. John talked of the things he could tell his teachers and parents while Rand said that he was going to become a millionaire by answering people's questions. Frank was silent, however, and wanted to see what kind of progress John had made over the long weekend.
John and Frank had both been in an electronics class the first semester of school so they both knew what they were doing. All three of them were, practically, child prodigies to begin with. At the early age of two Frank was telling his mother the names of the Roman emperors in order. John was doing similarly but Rand was not all that smart.
The mathamys was just a small spherical shape that resembled an orange. All the parts necessary were in it and some were lying on the table beside it, since it was not completely done yet. The ball was very smooth, but it wasn't slippery, as some would think. The color was that of a mango, green on the bottom gradually changing to a red-purple color. It was held in place by the one thing that Rand had contributed to the project, a coffee cup. It was just big enough to fit inside the cup which Rand had painted with all their names.
"Okay guys now we got to get to work on this thing if we are going to have it done by the weekend," Frank was starting to sit down in the big chair that took up most of the floor space in the basement.
"Well judging that today is Monday and we want to get it done on, hopefully, Friday afternoon. Then we are going to have to work extra hard, so lets begin." John was enthusiastic about the prospect of the invention and the things he was going to do. But there was no time to think about that, and they all started to work.

FOUR DAYS LATER....
"Not there Rand, put it down and I'll carry it." Frank was just a little upset because the project was finished but they didn't know who was going to test it out.
"Maybe we could wait-"
"No! I'm not going to wait any longer." Rand was interrupted by Frank and the wild temper that he had accumulated over the week.
"Come on Frank lets be rational about this. I think we all have to express our ideas to each other and chose the one that suits us all.
