They had probably watched what they were saying while she and the ladies were there. She sighed. She hated it when men did that. She sent the women ahead of her and positioned herself by the door. She heard Anchamlan laugh.

"That's the most realistic and sweet thing I've seen her do since I saved her." Lord Fonahn laughed back.

"You mean she has acted fake?"

"Yes, if that is the word you choose to use, she has been acting fake."

"Do tell."

"The last fake thing that she did was right inside of this door."

"Oh?"

"Yes. She fainted. No. She faked a faint into a flurry of dresses in exactly the way that I detest."

"My sister?" asked Lord Fonahn, faking shock.

"Yes, your sister," replied Anchamlan almost angrily.

"It's funny how the one thing that you find most repulsive in many women was preformed right in front of you, isn't it?"

"Oh yes, I'm dying laughing. She not only did that, but she preformed every other act of coquettish behavior that I dislike in the entire time that we were in there," and he rolled his eyes as Lord Fonahn laughed again.

"My sister has been courting for way to long, hasn't she?"

Lady Skansea froze. So that's why nothing she had tried had worked. He found every one of her coquettish moves repulsive. Unnecessary. She could almost venture to say that he thought her idiotic and annoying. She felt herself go red over every time she had pulled a flirting move on him. And her brother. Was it she, or did he seem amused by her behavior? She spun around and walked towards the stairs. Her bath awaited her. She would think of all of this later.

Anchamlan laughed again, but this time at Lady Skansea. He had seen her dress as she spun around, angered by his words. He knew that there would be time enough to teach her how a real lady should act, time enough indeed.
