You saw the intelligence plans against honest Americans. I know you are afraid of losing me, but this has to be done. Someone has to stand up against them. If you criticize them, they vilify you with lies and mute your voice. These people only believe in force. It is the only thing they understand." Strength and conviction radiated from Brom's eyes.
"They are counting on that. That is what they do. It is their game plan, Brom. They bank on it. It validates their lies. Aren't we playing into their hands?" Aislin pleaded with him.
"What if we are playing into their hands? What if this is exactly what they want? What if they can use this like they are using New York to destroy America and reshape it into their Adolphian vision? What if they spin it, like they always do and create more of me, but they are pawns for their ideologies? Doesn't that happen automatically if no one does anything? Don't they win by default because people are afraid of losing their comforts? That may be the rest of the fat and lay America, but that is not me. I am not a pimp for my pleasure. Instead, I'll kill every damn one of their relatives and puppets to make them realize what type of war they have truly declared on the people of America and the people of the world. I am something different."
"Aren't these people in these buildings puppets then? Haven't they all sold their souls for their job and the delusion of the American Dream that is nothing more than that? They destroy the planet every day and all they seek to do is satiate their own desires. They are to busy fulfilling their very whims to be concerned with the truth. Every single one of them ignores the actions of the Brotherhood to believe in the sugar coated version of reality that is peddled in schools, the media, and by politicians. The Straussian manipulators are the prime example of everything they claim to stand against. They detested the liberal's decadences and inability to control themselves, yet now that they have power they are even more corrupt and monstrous than those they stood against. This is headed for a spiral of death and destruction for everyone. Can you really risk your life day in and day out and expect to cheat death indefinitely? I lost Donar, and Mirabel too. I know the pain you've felt. Why is it always us? Why don't the people stand up and simply voice their opinions? Why do they sit back and let the manipulations continue unabated? Why will no one else help us?"
Brom hesitated. His heart and soul were wrestling like two dogs. One feed with anger and hate, while the other feed with caring and nurturing. Mirabel had planted the seed of hope in him. It made him realize he could probably still live a peaceful and secluded life, until the twin towers came down. Then he realized why the Grays' infiltrations into the corporate and government systems had been shut down. He knew why they did not want Teufel or the Grays to even exist. He wants a better world. The oligarchy does not. Nothing was more important to the leader of Teufel than the future.
