The Dress was black spaggeti strapped with silver threaded roses all over. It flowed gently to her knees. She touched up her makeup. Making sure no one was coming up the stairs she took a few different strands of hair and ran them through her fingers turning them silver. She slipped her black sandals on and spritzed a lavender and rose scented perfume on her neck and wrists. Serena looked at her watch. Darien would want to change still and reservations were in 20 minutes. She went back downstairs to get Darien. "As much as i'd like to stay and talk, Darien and i have dinner reservations for 5. If we want to get there on time we have to be going." Serena said. "We'll see you at graduation then. Be safe. I love you. Here, open this before you go. It's from dad and I." Irene said hnding her a small box. She opened it, and was surprised to find a set of car keys in it. "It's in the Driveway I just brought it home." Ken said. Serena just stood there speechless. "Go on Serena go look. I helped pick it out." Sammy said. Everyone walked out to the front yard and looked. It was a gorgeous silver aspire. "Thank you." Serena managed to whisper. She threw her arms around her dad and then her mom. She tried not to cry,but it was useless. "Thank you so much." She whispered with tears in her eyes and voice. "You go have fun at dinner and we'll see you tonight." Irene said. Serena nodded and they got into Dariens car and left.

"Can i ask you a question Rei?" Travis asked when they walked back into the house. "Yeah. What?" She asked. "Whats the deal with Serena and the car? She seemed gratefull yet timid about it." Travis said. "Lets go upstairs and i'll tell you about it." Rei said. They walked into Serenas room. "A few years ago for her birthday Serena got a car just like that. She was blisfully happy with it. She'd also just gotten a job working at Dariens pizza joint. We had just gone back to school from summer break, and Sere was driving. Some Fall it was. It was colder than hell, and snowing so the roads were really icy. We'd just gotten out of school for the day and she was driving home.I had a really bad feeling in my stomach and tried to convince her to wait for me to get out of a conference i had to have with my teachers. She said she had to go pick up Sammy and Alan and that she'd be right back. She was a block away from their school when she stopped for a light. Her light had just turned green and she had just started to go when this van slammed into her. The driver was going to fast and hadn't seen the red light. She died instantly. Rena, even though she'd had her seat belt on went flying through the windsheild. Her seatbelt had snapped. It had been faulty. I remeber feeling this horible burning sensation all through my body and it felt like the wind had been knocked out of me. I knew Sere was hurt, and bad. Lita had stayed after school that day because she had to talk to someone about an incident that had happened in school that day. I didn't even explain to the teacher what was going on i just grabbed my coat and bag and ran out the door. We didn't ask questions we just ran for her car.
