The Tale Begins Prologue
Human
It was a warm breezy autumn day, the sun rising quite high for this time of the year. The young prince rode into the forest on his white stallion, as he rode he looked around, appreciating the beauty of the surrounding land, his fathers land. The golden autumn leaves created a strange golden glow to the forest. Above him a canopy of yellow, gold and orange leaves, changed the sun, blocking away the beautiful blue sky and covering the ground it was a soft carpet. The great boles of the trees restricted the view all around him, though he knew where he was going he had hunted in these woods for years.
The prince while still a young man had shown himself to be an accomplished hunter and courts man excelling in etiquette and swordsmanship he would become a great diplomat and leader. His athletic body made him nimble and allowed him to be light of foot, moving both quietly and quickly around most terrains. He moved along deer trails heading towards the edge of the great valley, a mighty cliff rising above his father's kingdom and marking the inner boundaries of the royal lands. Past the cliff lay the baronies lands controlled by lords and barons on behalf of the crown. The prince knew these were the best hunting lands in the realm as the prey were plentiful yet strangely evasive and wary of men. Making it more sport to capture them. He pushed forwards moving alongside the mighty cliff, looking around he knew he had just passed the steppes one of the few places people could navigate the side of the valley to the lands beyond, the walls here were sloped allowing some purchase if traveling light and in very small groups, but tended to be avoided for they were not safe.
Hearing a great clamor in the forest behind him away the prince dismounted, climbing the wall to gain a better view, standing a half way up the cliff he could see over the tree line into the valley. Below him he could see large clusters of what appeared to be people moving down the pass into the valley.
"Too many for traders, that's the sight of troop movements." a voice spoke from behind him.
The prince moved with a start, halting quickly as he felt a blade against his back. "Don't move to quick, I don't want to hurt you, prince of the realm." the voice said "If you want to live, you'll come with me, quickly and quietly." The dark figure released the prince pushing him gently away from the ravine and up the cliff. Slowly the figure stood looking over the valley "It has begun"

Orc
Kar'thul a great warrior and clan chief of the c'thar rose suddenly. "I thought you told me they weren't expecting us, Tcha?"
"It seems to me that they must have found us somehow... maybe someone told them." replied Tcha "maybe they have patrols out here at this time of the year I don't know"
Kar'thul leant forwards with his huge fist, grabbing the front of Tcha's battle armor "I want facts not speculations, don't think I won't kill you, I will." throwing Tcha down, Kar'thul turned and while walking out the tent said "or should I just send you back to the sha'man tribes?"
Tcha winced; sending him back would be a great humiliation to both him and his shaman masters.
As Kar'thul turned to walk away he bellowed out to whosoever might hear "Get Patrols out into the forest and up onto the top of that damnable cliff, anyone could be out there"
Tcha winced again as his previous confidence given by the chief was effectively removed this was however completely understandable as Meeting with the others so shortly after descent into the valleys could have been a disaster if any them got away, news of the Orc invasion would have united the lands creating a power capable of destroying his people.
