The animal's nostrils spewed forth a smelly steam that made the youth turn his head. But he held his ground, only large bulging eyes revealed his intense fear. He looked at the human heads stuck on the animal's horns and made a face of disgust.

"Anak, Father will see you!" the youth shouted over the howling wind.

"See that he does!" Anak grunted.

The young man spat in front of the beast. The beast roared a seemingly angry protest at the young man's insolence. The youth then immediately turned and hurriedly made his way up the ramp into the bowels of the great ship.

Moments later, the old man appeared on the doorway and momentarily paused there before starting down the ramp. He hurried to encounter the visitor before he came any closer to the vessel. The old man stopped in front of the salivating beast and waited for Anak to dismount the beast.

Anak slid down his mount's flank and walked forward to face the old man. Anak towered over the old man, who was himself quite tall and very strong-looking in spite of his advanced age.

The surprising features of Anak were displayed fully when he tossed back his head and the hood fell backwards, revealing extremely handsome features over a broad muscular chest and powerful neck. His long golden hair cascaded down to very wide shoulders that ended on massive arms. His legs, thick as tree trunks, like the rest of his body, except for his head, seemed to be devoid of hair. His skin, the color of burnished bronze, appeared to be flawless. His whole being radiated a glow of invincibility.

He looked at Noah with penetrating eyes that were of a very light brown color that shone with a reddish demonic tinge, the eyes being the only thing that looked terrifying about his persona.

"Why have you come?" the old man asked.

"I believe your message, Noah," Anak said in a voice so deep that defied description. "I've come to seek shelter from the destruction that approaches."

"Why is it that now you believe?" Noah challenged. "I've preached the message for one hundred and twenty years."

"My master has revealed the truth to me in a dream," Anak explained.

"Anak, the Slayer, has a master!" Noah scoffed.

"Doesn't everyone?" Anak snapped back.

"Anak, you are the reason why He is doing this. The Nephilim must be stopped!"

"Exterminated, you mean!" Anak shouted angrily.

"Calm down, Anak! This is not my doing," Noah said as he backed away with his hands outstretched in front of him as if for protection.

"Why is it that your god disfavors us?" Anak asked in a calmer, though somewhat sarcastic tone of voice. "I can truthfully say, Noah, that I've never killed a Nephilim. Nephilim does not kill Nephilim. Can you say the same about your race? What do you do with the slaughtered Nephilim? You burn our flesh. We in turn consume yours, for we can't waste the things that our father so thoughtfully provides."

A deep silence enveloped the ambient, even the wind died down. Man and Nephilim stared at each other.

"Let us end our feud, Noah.
