He'd been rather bubbly since waking up from their campsite this morning. The prospect of Luc dancing around in that ridiculous outfit was enough to drive away black rain clouds.
"Actually, I would consider yourself lucky you couldn't produce a lute. You really don't want to hear me play one. It's an atrocity to man. Besides," Luc said, "I'm quite fine with the guitar. I can at least play that."
"Some of us are trying to sleep, so could the two of you kindly cease your discussion?" An irritated pixie poked its small frame out of the small carriage window that was behind the driver's bench. Pointed ears at contrast with its frowning child-like face. The pink glow around the pixie was hard to make out in the light of day, but was still apparent if one looked intently enough.
"It's almost noon Nahz." Luc said.
"Your point? I don't hold myself to the same schedule you do. Sleepy time is now." The pixie somehow found a way to make the shutters on the window slam closed.
"You know, we really could just eat Nahz." Chame said off-handedly.
"Not much meat there though." Luc replied.
"That's true, but we could consider it a desert. Some kind of delicacy perhaps?"
"Garnish?"
"Some kind of spicy sauce would work best in my opinion."
"We'll pick something up in the city then, try it out if we ever get bored or hungry enough." Luc sat back against the carriage, attempting to stretch and not fall off the driver's bench he shared with Chame. "The tights were a bit much my friend."

Alomar is somewhat unique among the kingdoms for several reasons. It has no king for one. It instead ruled by the five oldest living or in cases where ages aren't certain, oldest looking residents in the small kingdom. The only reason for replacing one of the five is when they finally pass on. Senility or temporal fancies as they are sometimes called bear no weight in replacing one of the kingdom's rulers.
It is also the only kingdom in the entire recorded history to have never been at war with another kingdom. It has no standing army to speak of, only a city and royal guard. It is also known for having almost no crime, and for being quite unoriginal when naming things.
Alomar sits nestled in the crook of two rivers. The River Alomar on the east and the Shivering River at its west, which then join and run south another mile into the Bay of Alomar.
The Alomar Mountains to the north, a river on both sides and a bay a mile south put Alomar in a rather defensible niche. Historians have written that this could be one of the contributing factors when it comes to the reason Alomar has never been at war. Or it could be that no one can see any glory in attacking a kingdom run by several geriatrics.
Alomar's chief income is tourists. People from all over the world will journey to Alomar for the purpose of entertainment. It isn't that Alomar has spectacular festivals either. No, Alomar City has something that has made it quite the desirable travel location: Hot Springs.
The River Alomar is directly fed from hot springs, so its waters are always pleasantly warm.
