He sat at a table, and pealed open the lid.
There were bandages inside, as well as disinfectant and other medical supplies packed in tightly. A note lay on top of it all. Arthur picked it up and read it, although it was becoming difficult with the blurred vision he was experiencing.

Dear Arthur, it read, written in an almost illegible scrawl, Your purpose has not yet been fulfilled. Patch yourself up, and head to the intersection of Chadford Road and High Street. And try not to think overly much on the way there, you may attract unwanted attention. As long as you get that song out of your head, you'll be just fine.

There was no signature.

"Jesus Christ man, another one?"
Melanie, who had succumbed to her own world of terror, was snapped out of it by the voice of a young man.
"Scalpel this time," another voice responded, "In her chest..."
"What the fuck? This got too weird an hour ago," a third said.
"Move in, investigate," a fourth voice, this one with a distinctive tone of command, echoed.
"Yes, sir," he was answered.
Melanie's dry eyes watched as a pair of army boots walked past her mother's body.
"There's a sword stuck through the bed."
"Like the one on College Street?"
"No, this one's European."
More boots walked past her range of vision. Melanie attempted to say something, but the words were caught in her throat.
There was a moment's pause.
"This body's been moved," the commanding voice spoke.
"What... how do you know?"
"There's no hole in the roof. Check the kitchen."
There were a few hollow footsteps, and then, "Yeah. Hole's here. Blood too..."
Melanie shivered, irritating the point where the sword had stuck in.
"Who moved it then?" One of the other voices asked, "I mean, she didn't crawl out there herself."
Melanie tried again, but only a crackled whisper drifted from her lips, "Help..."
"What was that?"
"What was what?"
"Help... help!!!" She yelled.
A face peered down, looking underneath the bed. It was a blonde haired man, not much older than twenty-one.
"Holy shit! There's a girl here! Holy shit! The sword... the sword..."
"Get the sword out of there!" The commanding voice shouted.
The blonde haired guy remained looking at her, as two pairs of shoes moved into the room, "It's going to be alright," he said, "Okay? It's going to be alright."
Melanie didn't say anything.
The two men gripped the sword around it's hilt, which had dug into the mattress, and attempted to lift. As they did the sword shook, vibrating against Melanie's temple. She clenched her teeth together.
"It'll be out in another second," the guy looking at her said.
But then, as if to spite her, "It ain't moving. It's jammed tight."
The two men let go of the sword, but it didn't stop vibrating. Instead, it began to shake from side to side. Slowly sliding downwards...
"Get it out!" The guy watching her screamed, "Get it the fuck out! It's going in! It's fucking going in!"

Taking one of the cotton balls in the package, Arthur applied a small amount of disinfectant to it.
