Levas quickly ran to the back of his family's wagon to get his arms.
Upon hearing her husband's warning to the party of an ambush Ninomeen did not hesitate to act. "Go to the back of the wagon and help your father get his bow and sword. Make sure to arm yourself as well Serysses" she said. Serysses jumped off the horse when her mother stopped it and he ran to the back of the wagon. Ninomeen had been used to dealing with small creatures attacking the caravans when she went with her husband to towns for trading and she kept a short bow hanging from the back of her saddle and a quiver filled with arrows at all times. As she reached back for her bow and arrows she never recalled seeing so many creatures attack her family's caravan before as more and more goblins were breaking cover and rushing to attack the caravan. She knocked an arrow and immediately spotted the couple of goblins who had shot first at the caravan from the tree tops. She muttered to herself "Stupid creatures." as she let one arrow fly thinking about how the goblins in the trees had a good shooting position but were exposed after they took a shot from the tops of the trees. Her first arrow flew true and struck one of the goblins in the chest. It fell off from the tree tops smacking the ground with a crunch as its life expired. Ninomeen started to pick up her pace quickly firing the arrows as yet more and more goblins seem to come attack.
Serysses ran to the back of his family's wagon helping his father find his arms first. His father grabbed his long bow and quiver as Serysses grabbed his long sword in its scabbard. Levas quickly put it on and ran to the back of the caravan to help Filien fight off the goblins that were attacking the rear. Serysses grabbed a short sword and a short bow and ran to the side of the family wagon helping his mother fire arrows at the goblins. Serysses had been taught by his father at a young age how to hunt. They did not eat meat often as most elves don't but Serysses had done it enough times with his father on other caravan trips on the road to feel comfortable. Serysses also helped his father test out the blades and armor that his father smithed back at their home. After Serysses had shot one of the arrows he looked to the front of the caravan. The goblins seemed to be crawling all over the area as he saw one of the human mercenaries fighting a group of goblins. He was horrified when he saw the human parry a swing of one of the creature's battle axes with his sword to his mid section when one of the creatures came from behind and jumped on him and bit his neck and then jumped off with a piece of his ear in its mouth. The human screamed in pain when another goblin came from behind and finished the human off with a swing of his battle axe right to the back of the human's spine severing it. The human fell dead as a door nail and the goblins turned their attention toward the back of the caravan. Almost all the mercenaries in the front of the caravan had been killed as he let arrow after arrow fly from his hands like rain falls from the clouds.
