Sick and depraved creatures, they stand in antithesis of everything the Father stands for. You will take us to them at once so we might further exterminate the race."

"No! I cannot go back..." I screamed "...I will not return to that caravan of death!"

Even through the rain I could taste the salt from the tears running down my face. The others had also set their sights on me. Apparently I was to have no choice; these men were to be my doom. Not a solitary ounce of pity shown in their eyes. The one known as Torko grabbed my wrist and began to wrench me toward him. I pulled against strength with all my might.

A flash lit the sky and in that very instant I fell back upon the ground as if Torko had released his grasp in a scream of pain. I looked around desperately, trying to find a reason as to why he let me go so abruptly, that's when I felt it. His disembodied hand was still attached to my wrist. He screamed while staring at his newly fashioned stump. My own arm thrust back and forth until the still gripping hand of my aggressor was thrown aside.

Such a clean cut, what could have...

My thoughts were stopped by new lights filling the sky, energy blasts in place of the El-Storm Flashes of white light firing from my new captors, randomly through the air at an unseen enemy. Torko's remaining arm began firing uncontrollably as he screamed. Two of his blasts echoed past my head, I could do nothing but stare at the hysteria.

Two large figures sprang from either side of the camp, hunched and poised in the air as flew through the trees, their large feet landing square on the shoulders of the two unwounded Zealots. One landed on Pilat's back, holding itself in place, squatting atop his shoulders. Its massive forearm rose into the air and then fell, raking bladed fingers through the back of Pilat's neck.

Ral began firing at the figure as it made its decent through the air at him.
Blast, Blast, Blast the final shot struck the creature in the midsection sending it into a spin and causing it to miss the target. Ral's gun followed the creature to the ground Blast a final shot took the creatures head. He looked up to take aim on the creature assaulting Pilat but it was to late, it had made quick work of him, tearing its talons through his exposed soft flesh, Pilat was no longer among the living.

Once done with Pilat the creature leapt once more into the air, springing itself on its massive legs only to land on the one handed Torko. Instead of ripping him with the Razor talons as it did Pilat, the creature pummeled him into unconsciousness.

Ral fired on the creature's backside.
"Leave him be you foul creature!" he screamed.

I was unable to yell out, to warn him when I saw the volley of metal shards come flying through the twilight at his back. They must have been several inches long; I could almost hear the sinking sound as dozens of them penetrated his back, killing him instantly.

Seconds later, from the shadows emerged the assailant that had killed Ral with the volley of shrapnel.
