Yet his suicidal notion did not go well with the crew. If he had been anyone else, they would have killed him on the spot for such a silly notion. Yet Grimar was the crown prince, heir apparent to the entire Leker Empire. To resist his will was to accept death. So silently, albeit grudgingly, the crew of the Leker border Patrol prepared all of their weapons and machinations of death. Against a ship of such size, they would need everything they had. The relative inferiority of the ship did not matter, its girth more than made up for any technological lickings it may have.

The Sub-Nuclear warheads were removed, and new anti-matter warheads were prepared. Yet even their fire power might not be enough. Dozens of fighters were launched into space, as the Leker cruiser prepared for battle. The Prince and the other hundreds of Leker zealots loaded themselves into assault pods, which would be launched from a shuttle and thrown directly onto the ship.

There they would use shield scrambling technology and latch onto the massive alien behemoth. Yet even the most experienced of warriors wondered if they could do it. Against such numbers, the best of warriors would fall short. Grimar's orders stood firm, they would launch and would destroy the enemy vessel or die trying. The latter seemed more likely. As the Leker entered the behemoth's sensors, a cry of warning went through its populace. Its own mysterious species prepared for war. Primitive vessels little more than 2nd generation engines with a chair strapped in were launched. Yet thousands flew through space, outnumbering the Leker fighters 100 to 1.

The question rattled through both sides as the two armies clashed. The outcome seemed mute for the Lekers, yet their fighters and warriors would stronger. In the end what it would really come down to would be if quantity or quality was better. The winner of the fight would suffer heavy casualties, and it must be questioned if that was a victory at all. The gigantic starship fought for its survival, as Grimar and the Lekers fought for honor. Only time would tell which would triumph.
