The incredible height of the city impressed Robert the most. His luxurious rooftop penthouse apartment was now a division in the middle of a city that literally grew upwards farther than the eye could see. To accommodate these great heights new types of transportation were born. This was mostly due to the ingenuity of S.A.M. and the engineering teams working closest to the artificial intelligence.

A hover droid, as it was called, shadowed Robert Spartan throughout the silver metropolis of the future, and it explained the changes conveying its own thoughts of how to better improve living conditions for the human race. For the most part Robert ignored the silver shaped sphere which was an extension of S.A.M. Instead he was taken in by the new clothing fashions and strange technologies that were so common place to the people using them.

I'm so archaic by their standards, Robert thought looking to them while wearing clothing that dated back to his original time. His fancy blue suit simply didn't have the same feel of luxury it had when it was first purchased. I can only imagine what they think of me.

The tour of the future Chicago continued for some time with the hover droid endlessly giving information about the last ten decades. Eventually Robert was led back to the place he knew as home. Awaiting him at the entrance to the building was an old man dressed in gray, and who appeared to be seated on a black hovering chair. Standing next to him, as beautiful as ever, was Doctor Adriana Wellto who had a stunning summer dress that complimented her shapely figure.

"Good to see you moving around Mr. Spartan." Adriana shot a quick smile.

"It feels good to be moving. Though I must admit I keep expecting to wake up at any moment. This all feels too dreamy."

She smiled to him. "It is a common side effect. It will pass with a little time."

"But that's only if you decide to stay in this time period." The old man spoke up carrying a half grin which lifted the left side of his face. "Otherwise the shock will be even greater if you reawaken in an even more advanced society."

Robert took a closer look at the old man. His gray hair was thinning, but his features seemed so familiar. Robert mentally kicked himself for not realizing who it was upon first glance.

"You can stop looking at me like that. Of course its me." Lucas Wellto smiled.

"Lucas!" Robert moved in to give the old man a hug. "I can't believe this! Look at you!"

Lucas hugged back as best he could from his seated position in the hover chair. The smile of joy could not be taken from his face. "Yes, look at me. I'm old, and you're still young you bastard."

"I still can't believe that the two of you grew up together." Adriana remarked wanting to be a part of the moment.

Robert wiped his eyes as he spoke to Lucas, somewhat ignoring Adriana. He was on the verge of tears as he looked over his childhood companion. "And your family lines continues.
