SUMMARY: The Lekers, a violent reptile race, make first contact with the an unknown enemy. Tentions arise and the threat of Intergalactic War looms. Read to find out what happens in, The Limera Conflict

As the monlitithic but technologically inferior fleet of the unknowns raced towards the stronger but less numerous Lekers, it became apparent that strategy and leadership would decide the outcome of this truly titanic battle. Like ants attacking a grizzly bear, the primitive fighters began to swarm around the Lekers. The Leker's advanced shielding easily stopped one or two blasts, maybe even several dozen but the incredible volume of fire from the unknown's ship was ripping them apart.

The countless ships moved as one and attacked in a never-ending group. As soon as one fighter left, two more would come in for the attack. The militaristic Lekers could not believe their eyes or their sensors as they were outmaneuvered by the unknown ships. From the very beginning the battle was looking bad. As the huge juggernaut ship drew within firing range of the Leker fighters and shuttles, it appeared that matters were going to get much, much worse.

Blasts of lasers and small nuclear explosives filled space with an incredible amount of light, illuminating what was a cold and otherwise dreary expanse. As the Leker ship began to fire its new and improved anti-matter warheads, dozens of enemy fighters died in a single blast. Yet their countless number and seemingly uncaring for their own life made the massive destruction warranted by such a powerful cruiser...insignificant. Against a foe who cared not how many men were lost, or how many ships were destroyed it was apparent that more destructive shows of force were needed.

The Leker captain watched the outcome of the battle with cold eyes. From his own personal chambers, he had access to the ship's main computer, and so could watch in real time the intense carnage going just mere kilometers from the ship. Yet while the enemy fighters were able to effectively take out the Leker fighters, they were confounded by the assault pods. They moved with such speed and grace that their primitive engines simply could not match their speed. The shuttles began to launch their pods in the enemy ship, and as promised the pods negated the enemy shielding. Dozens, no hundreds of assault carriers connected to the unknown ship's hull and began to cut holes.

Within moments, the strike teams were on the ship, only to be greeted with the arms fire of thousands. What the Lekers did not know was that they had chosen the exact worst place on the massive ship to land. You see they had attached themselves to the security quarters of the ship, were all the armed patrols and weapons were stored. It was only natural then that the enemy fire absolutely crushed them. No matter the individual shielding units of the Lekers, they were simply destroyed by the wait of fire with which they were hit. A force field can resist one blow easily, but just like their fighters the Leker shields simply could not take the countless beams of energy being thrown at them.

The result was obvious. The Lekers died without getting a single shot off. For all their advanced equipment, they were outnumbered and outgunned.
