It disgusted her that he didn't even have the decency to try and hide what he is doing in front of her, but Ashleigh doesn't let it hinder what she is trying to accomplish.
With the name firmly engraved in her mind, Ashleigh told Rick, he is a slothful man with all the humanity of a beached whale. Ashleigh's has a plan to convince the woman Rick has been privately chatting with to take him off her hands. Ashleigh isn't quite sure if she can accomplish it, but for her sanity she is willing to try.

The next morning after seeing Rick leave for work, Ashleigh turned on the computer and looked for the sign-in screen, she thought for awhile about a name to use, when she left the security of her former life Ashleigh had canceled her user name. Ashleigh finally settled on Cajunbride as the name she would use. Ashleigh signed on, and went to where she knew she will find the person she is looking for.

Ashleigh sat in the room for a few minutes rebuking advances of the men in the room, then at last the moment she has been waiting for arrives.

Ashleigh sat there while the woman made her salutations and settled in. Ashleigh innocently asked if anyone had seen 1hot14u. At first she didn't think anyone saw her question, so she begins to type it again.

Ashleigh sees it, it's like a garish neon sign in the wilderness to her. The name screams at her, Ashleigh stared at it for a second feeling the fear beginning to well up in her. Ashleigh took a deep breath, and read the post again. It said "why who wants to know?". Ashleigh typed back she had met him online yesterday, he seemed to be just the nicest man she had talked to since she had begun chatting.

Almost instantly Ashleigh got a message on her screen, it said bitaangst was requesting a private conversation with her, would she like to accept it. Ashleigh hit the required box to accept, and began to smile. Ashleigh knew she could pull this off.

Ashleigh started by saying hello, and asking how she was. The person on the other end replied, "HI", "I am fine, thank you". "My name is Ashleigh. What's yours?".

Her name is Carol, she is in the great state of Tennessee. Carol typed back "where are you from?". Ashleigh replied "I'm from Louisiana, down in the bayou" Ashleigh asked "isn't that where 1hot14u is from?" Carol replied, "Yes he is, down by New Orleans". Ashleigh asked if she had met him, Carol replied yes she had on several occasions met with him for drinks.

Is he as wonderful in person as he is on the Internet, Ashleigh asked. He had in fact bought her a diamond bracelet and brought her flowers every time he visited her, Carol told her. Ashleigh didn't know whether to be mad or happy that this was going to work more easily than she thought.

Ashleigh asked if they were in a serious relationship, her reply was yes they were deeply involved. She asked Carol, "Isn't he married?". Carol replied "Yes he is, but not legally". Ashleigh paused and considered this, then asked "How does that work?", "Well" Carol said "When his wife ran off with the septic guy he never got divorced because he didn't know where to serve her papers is what I was told" Carol said.
