SUMMARY: The original story that spawned the Limera Conflict. Read the collaborated story of Freak, Silence, and Megris Vernin.

As Lucis Marco considered the tactical situation, he became aware of an alien presence in the room. He turned around to face a Zeriph. His first reaction was to reach for his laser pistol, but then he saw who it was. A strange calm came over his face and he almost smiled.

"I see our little spy is here. That means your mission must of been a success, did you plant the neutron charges in the Zeriph ships as planned?"

The general awiated the traitor's answer, not completely able to ignore the fact that he had the most celebrated Zeriph, a traitor, in his midst. Their realationship went far back to the first terran encounter with the Zeripth. There Lucis showed a different world to 'Mac' as he called him, a world where people had rights and priveleges, and could choose things other than a warrior's path.

Given the failing startegic position, unless Lucis's back up planned worker he would have to leave the system, to save other millions of colonists from the Zeripth. Yet he would still leave 70,000 to die. He could almost see their screaming faces now as the Zeripth performed horrible experiments on them. A fact that would not be known for the lone camera man who was able to record and send the signal before Lucis's colony was completely overrun.

His entire family was mostly likely killed in that horrible way....as was all the people he ever knew back home.

Sathis eyed the man coldly, The first time he had met him he attacked the man, they fought untill they had both realized that they were working twords the same thing.
*How different is this one from all the rest of his kin, is he like I am, or Is he like them.* Sathis asked himself, he nodded to the humans question, the most the man was going to recieve at the moment. A cold silence settled amongst his face, he just stood their pondering, he knew what the next question would be, "how many important officers on the ships did you kill" before the human could utter the words he replyed,
"Twenty" He glanced into the humans eyes, most humans he could read the soul of in an instant, this one, seemed just as empty as Sathis's own life. A light bounced off the handle of his dagger and into his eye, the burning yellow drifted through them and dissapeared as he shifted just enough to make the trench coat cover it.
*Brother, you will see, Your own bones will aide me in the death of the commander, You will understand that your death helped the world more then your life could have.* he thought bringing his hand up to his right arm.
To most this would bring fear unto, because of his knife, instead he reached down into the pouch that hung there and pulled out a handfull of crests. One from everyone of the dead commanders, he put his closed fist out, and turned it over and opend it, The crests fell onto the floor with many small klinks, Again sathis nodded
*proff they are dead* and turned, the human was unable to see his only ingery, a thin slash accrost his stomach, made by one of the commanders. One that had been his teacher. A flash of the Zeriphs mangled body crossed his thoughts, he smirked and ignored the morbid thought. He put a hand to the cut, and pushed his finger in, it only went in to the end of his nail, it would be fine he decided.
