For the first time in nearly a century Limera Prime was bathed in the great warmth of its four suns and six moons. As the insects climbed into the pit, one of them looked up and saw a sky not full of darkness, but of life! The Overmind immediately watched through its eyes and felt a since of glee and wonder at the many lights in the sky. It felt a sudden desire to visit each of those glinting stars and planets in the sky. This day the Overmind knew that it was not the only of his kind, but the first of many to come. With the power of the asteroid, the insects would go to conquer this planet, and then the stars.
The Overmind remembered the glee it had felt when it first looked up at the stars. That insatiable appetite for proliferation had been realized and centuries later it was being fulfilled. The Overmind knew why it was here, to expand and grow. Like back on Limera it had to overcome uncertain conditions and many dangers. If the Lekers were allies and helped them to expand, they would be greeted with everything the Overmind could give them. But if they were a threat, the Insectoids would do everything in their power to destroy them, and all others like them. The Overmind left its memories and drifted once more upon the Leker ship, and understood now what it must do.
